initiative "For responsible companies"

Rhein-Tec holding, together with its Swiss subsidiary Rhein-Tec GmbH EME, supports the popular initiative "For responsible companies
What this is all about:

On 10 October 2016, the popular initiative "For responsible companies - to protect people and the environment" was submitted. It demands that companies based in Switzerland must also respect internationally recognised human rights and environmental standards abroad. The Federal Council attaches great importance to respecting human rights and protecting the environment. However, the demands of the initiators go too far for it, especially in the area of liability regulations. It therefore supports the indirect counter-proposal of the Parliament. However, this will only come into force if the initiative is rejected and a possible referendum against the indirect counter-proposal fails.
